Send an OTSC Kid to Camp Mathieu Summer 2024

I've recently started volunteering at Off the Street Club, and it's been an incredibly fulfilling experience. Building connections with the kids there has been a highlight of this year. They're full of energy, creativity, and resilience, and it's been a joy to see them grow in such a positive environment.

One thing that's really stood out to me is the summer camp program based in Wheaton that they offer - Camp Mathieu! Camp Mathieu allows space and time for these kids to escape the challenges of their everyday lives and just be kids - playing, laughing, and exploring in a safe and supportive space. The only hurdle is the cost. At $600 per child, it's not accessible to every family in the neighborhood.

That's why I'm starting this fundraiser. I want to give at least one more kid the opportunity to experience the joy and freedom of summer camp. As a former kid summer camper, I know that the memories they'll create during those warm, sunny days will be unforgettable! I also know the experience will create lasting lessons and relationships that I hope they can leverage as they go through their journeys in this life.

So, with all this being said, PLEASE join me in making this seemingly small, but so very big, difference in an OTSC kid's life this summer. Your donation will help send at least one more awesome kid to camp this year. Through our community we can ensure that children in West Garfield Park have an opportunity to play, smile, laugh, and THRIVE together.
