Send Anya to Girls World Wrestling Championships
Donation protected
Hi Everybody, we have some great news! Our daughter Anya has the opportunity to go to the U17 Girls World Wrestling championships in Rome, Italy in July. She just finished her junior year at Copper Hills High school in West Jordan, Utah. Having only wrestled for 18 months she is a two-time Utah state champion and 5 time All American, in girls wrestling.
A little bit about Anya: She was orphaned at the age of 3 and at the age of 5 she was taken in and adopted by Jay and Penina Leakehe Hatch who brought her to Utah. She feels truly blessed to grow up in a state like Utah that has provided her with good education, a safe place to live and resources to expand her athletic abilities.
The Tongan Olympic committee has invited her to represent Tonga in this year’s World wrestling championships. The Tongan Olympic committee is newly formed and is unable to provide any financial assistance. We need $12,000 to send Anya and her coach to Rome. Thank you for your support and contribution.
