Send Cade Duncan to World University Games 2023

Hi all! Next year I am excited to be studying Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University. Specializing in sprint events, I have recently finished up a successful high school career setting records for both my school team and club team. While attending my first USA National Championship meet last week, I qualified for the 2024 US Olympic Trials in the 50m and 100m freestyle.

I am excited and honored to announce that because of my success last week, I have been selected to represent the U.S. in the upcoming World University Games in Chengdu, China, July 28 -August 8. Only 18 men and 18 women will be representing our country as part of the USA Swim Team. The U.S. delegation will comprise approximately 300 athletes competing in 18 different sports. In total, there will be more than 10,000 student-athletes from at least 150 different countries, and more than 300 million people will tune in to watch the games live.

In the past, USA Swimming has sponsored the American team, but for political reasons, they have declined to do so this year. This leaves athletes having to self-fund their trip. My goal is to raise $5,500 to help cover the costs associated with participating in this event, including game fees, travel, lodging and meals. I am incredibly grateful for any support you can provide to help me represent USA on the global stage at these games.
