Please help support my journey to the NAJYRC (North American Junior Young Rider Championship) also known as the “Junior Olympics.” My name is Caitlin O’Roark, my horse’s name is On A Mission (barn name is Fancy Pants). We have an amazing opportunity to be possibly selected for the NAJYRC team! I am 13, soon to be turning 14-year-old Junior/Young rider. My horse, Fancy Pants, is a 7-year-old 3/4 Thoroughbred and 1/4 Dutch Warmblood mare.
Fancy Pants was born on our farm. She was born in May 2011, when I was 7 years old. I fell in love with her as soon as she was foaled, and I was determined that she was going to be my horse. I have started her and trained her. We have an amazing bond between the two of us. Fast forward in time to this year, we have been competing for two years and hoping to do a CCI 1* this year. Then hopefully, be selected for the Junior Olympics (NAJYRC) team. My coach, Lauren Kieffer, an Olympic rider, quoted “Caitlin is one of the most talented young riders I've worked with, and even more importantly, has the work ethic and ability to produce her own horses from the start. NAJYRC will be a great stepping stone for her career and give her the experience she needs to ride on future teams.”
The 2018 Championships will be held at Rebecca Farm in Montana. We need to raise $10,000 to travel across the country to Montana. We also need to raise $5,000 to attend qualifying competitions before the NAJYRC. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a fantastic journey to fulfill my hopes and dreams to one day compete at a CCI 4**** event… maybe even the Olympics!
Please, if you can, please donate towards my goal and share this post with others! Any amount, big or small is helpful. We understand that some people are not in a position to make a financial donation, so even if you simply share my post with your friends and family, I would be so grateful! Thank you, so very much!!
