Continued support for the Robinette family

Cat Robinette is my friend. Why do I start a Go Fund Me by saying that? Because many of you either call Cat a friend or know a friend like her.

 

Her story can be anyones. She is a mother of two incredible kids (Joey and Laura), a wife to Paul, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a niece, a dancer, and so much more.

 

In 2021, she heard the words no one wanted to hear. "You have Cancer." I use a capital C as Cancer becomes your world when you hear those words. Cat was diagnosed with angiosarcoma of the breast. Please note that this is not breast cancer. The type of Cancer she faces is rare, and the specialist who leads her treatment is in Houston, Texas. While living in Minnesota, traveling across the country countless times during treatment, Cat followed the treatment plan that the doctors in Minnesota and Texas felt would help. She went through multiple brutal rounds of chemo, had a unilateral mastectomy and underwent radiation therapy. On Feb 11th, 2022, she learned that all of the treatments were successful for her angiosarcoma of the breast.

 

She also heard the words, "it has metastasized to your liver."

 

Cat is currently in her 3rd round of chemo.

 

The words "you should do those bucket items lists" have been said to Cat by her care team. The chemo is to prolong her life and stop the spread of Cancer within her.

 

Her bucket list is not long. She wants to have a family vacation with Paul, Joey and Laura. She wants to take her family to Disney World.

 

Many of us know a friend like Cat. The one who is the "action item" friend. We need to purchase dance props; Cat jumps to action. We need to get these items sewn; Cat jumps to action. We need to organize something; Cat jumps to action. All with the knowledge that she is giving herself, her time, and her money.

 

For every friend like her, I ask you to please jump to action and help us send Cat and her family to Disney.

 

Funds raised will primarily go to creating memories with her family at Disney. Any remaining funds will be put toward services to ease medical bills and memorialize our ever-loved Cat.

Estimated breakdown of costs for Disney trip:

Theme park tickets- 4 people- 5 days- one day at each park + Harry Potter day= $2000
Airfare- 4 people- $1200 
Hotel- 5 nights= $1500
Meals, including snacks and water = $1400
Rough estimate for Disney= $6100

Asking for $10,000 for Family vacation and End of Life Services, we know that we are asking less than what the expenses are, however this was a number to start.
