Send Ella to 2021 UCI MTB World Championships!
Let's help send Ella Erickson, our reigning 2021 US Junior Women's DH National Champion, to the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy from August 25th to August 29th.
Ella has been racing World Cups as well this year, and so far she has finished 4th and 8th in the first two world cup races of the year and has not placed outside of the top 5 in the domestic races where she has been racing as an Elite.
This is Ella's 2nd year being selected to represent her country at the World Championships, this year she is one of TWO Junior women who have been chosen out of the entire country.
As the current National Champion, Ella has been selected to the team as a "level 2 Self-Funded" Athlete which means that USA Cycling will be providing some support at the race such as competition and casual clothing, lodging/food, ground transportation at event location, all mechanical/race support, and TravMed Insurance throughout the duration of the event with USA Cycling. However, Level 2 self-funded athletes are required to pay USA Cycling $750 as well as be responsible for their airfare and excess baggage expenses.
We would like to use this fundraiser to raise the money to cover these "self-funded" travel expenses for Ella, as she is such an exemplary and talented member of not only the PNW cycling community, but the entire country as well. The goal is to raise $2,500 as that should cover her USA Cycling Fees as well as her plane ticket ($1200) and baggage fees ($500). Ella does have some phenomenal sponsors that have made sure she is racing on top notch equipment and have helped her to get to this point, such as Commencal USA, Monster Army, eThirteen, TRP, Deity Components, Cushcore, Dialed MTB, Ride 100%, and Doma Coffee, but this is a significant expense incurred by her to represent US, her country! Lets help get her there!
