Send Fordham Prep Wrestlers To Nationals

The Bx Elite Wrestling Club is fundraising to send our wrestlers to Freestyle and Greco-Roman Nationals July 14-22, 2023 in Fargo, ND. Each competitor needs $2,000 for transportation, team gear, housing, and team camps.

Over the May 5th weekend, the Bx Elite Wrestling Club competed at the New York Freestyle and Greco State Championships. The team had a total of 9 competitors and affiliates and came home with 8 medals. Johnson and Danza are both automatically qualified for Nationals; and Panzenbeck is a first alternate.

Sebastian Panzenbeck (class of '23) won 3 matches and finished in 4th place in Greco in the 170lb Junior division.

Vaughan Johnson (class of '23) pinned 3 opponents, each under a minute, to win his 220lbs Junior division. Johnson becomes the first FP wrestler to win Freestyle States since 2016.

Dalton Danza (class of '25) won 3 matches and finished second in both Freestyle and Greco in the 220lbs U16 division.

Any excess donations will go towards off-season tournaments and practice essentials (mat tape, practice throwing dummy, etc).
