Send Him to Spain

CALLING ALL FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND POTENTIAL SUPPORTERS.

Hey, it’s Melia. I am fundraising for my boyfriend Mateo. He has been given an incredible opportunity to go play soccer in Spain for a month in the summer. This has been his dream since he was 8 years old. We are so excited but it of course comes with a cost. I just finished my first year of college and he’s graduating high school. We have both been saving to go on missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the end of this summer so we don’t have quite enough for both missions and Spain. We will be working hard to come up with the money but it’s a lot to get by the due date, June 30. We need your help. A repost or even $1 would help, anything you can. Mateo inspires me every day with his hard work and determination. His dreams are my dreams so let’s make this happen. Let’s send him to Spain.

Hey it’s Mateo. Like Melia said, experiencing European football has been my dream for over 10 years and is probably the first thing that I was actually motivated to accomplish in my life. I have dedicated the majority of my life to this sport just to receive an offer like this. I am overjoyed that I was even given this opportunity, but now that I have it, I feel that I cannot waste it. I have spent countless hours training on the pitch with and without a team. When there weren’t team trainings, you would always find me at the park kicking the ball around for hours on end. Ever since I discovered this sport, everything i did, said, and watched was football related. Life happens so fast and if you would have told me a month ago that I would have the opportunity to play football in Spain, I would’ve told you to see a doctor, but… here I am with the opportunity of a life time and only 3 months to make it happen. I am going to work harder then ever to make my dream come true. I would like to thank my family, friends, and especially my beloved girlfriend for all their support in making this happen for me. I know it’s a lot to ask and I am extremely grateful to anyone who donates and everyone who has shared such kind words towards me. I trust God and hope going to Spain is something he will make available to me. Every penny counts!
