Send Josh to Space
Donation protected
Joshua James Jensen, age 23, of Vancouver, Washington passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Josh had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and bravely endured many challenges throughout his life, but he was not defined by his diagnosis. He was a brilliant and witty young man: a true conversationalist, critical thinker, and loving individual. His brash sense of humor always caught you off guard and kept you in anticipation of “what will he say next?” He loved having long discussions about everything from black holes to superheroes. His love for space inspired us to send his ashes into space to orbit the Earth. With the help of your donation, his ashes will circle the Earth for decades and return to the atmosphere, vaporizing like a shooting star. If you were to ask Josh what he would like to do without any bounds, he would probably say he would like to fly and explore the galaxy. Heather, Jerry, and brother, Luke are excited to give him the opportunity to do just that.
“Those who see the cosmic perspective as a depressing outlook, they really need to reassess how they think about the world. Because when I look up in the universe, I know I am small but also big. I’m big because I’m connected to the universe, and the universe is connected to me.”
-Neil deGrasse Tyson
