Support Ripp's training as the first Avalanche Rescue dog of Diamond Peaks Ski Patrol!
As a backcountry patrol Diamond Peaks Ski Patrol is truly unique, serving the Cameron Pass area of Northern Colorado and functioning without lifts or lodges in steep alpine terrain and on a 100% volunteer basis.
We started this fundraiser to attend the 2024 Colorado Rapid Avalanche Deployment winter canine camp. Since we are not based at a resort this annual training camp is invaluable for us to learn, practice, validate, and maintain mission readiness alongside all the "top dogs" in the North American avy dog world.
We quickly surpassed that early goal. Therefore we are expanding our vision to support our budding avalanche rescue canine program into the future so we can better serve our Northern Colorado backcountry community through education, emergency care, and rescue.
Help us to get the training and equipment necessary to save lives and stay safe while we work! Check out our Instagram @Ripp to the Rescue to see how we train!
Some of the things on our wish list include:
Training Courses (2-3 per year) = $600 each
Travel costs to attend trainings = $1,000+
Warmer winter coat = $120
Patrol harness for Ripp= $400
Durable Travel Crate = $1,000
Knowing how much our community supports us = PRICELESS!
