Send Kaedyn to Berklee's Life-Changing Program

Hi all! Most of you will know me. I'm Kel and I'm here to ask for your help to get my very talented, 15-year-old son to the Berklee College of Music Aspire 5-Week Music Program for the summer of 2025. But I need your help. The price tag is a steep 10k for the program and housing. We had submitted an application for a scholarship which will award $1k-full tuition ($5,400) but it does not cover housing which is an additional $4,200. This is what I am fundraising for and also to cover anythibng the scholarship may not.
Kaedyn began his music journey in December of 2021 when his grandmother gifted him a cheap acoustic guitar for Christmas. Her reason for the guitar, "I don't know what the hell to get a 12-year-old boy." I will thank the stars every day for her choice. Kaedyn spent 18 months teaching himself to play from YouTube videos and in December of 2022, was gifted his first electric guitar by myself and my wife. For the first time, my son had a passion in something like I'd never seen. It was incredible to watch him grow and learn this new "hobby," and I was ecstatic that he had found something in the arts he enjoyed.
In February of 2023, Kaedyn was suffering from a major bout of depression, and this is when I came to realize how pivotal music can be for one person. During this time, my son was internally suffering a horrible bout of depression. When I say that music saved my son's life, I am not exaggerating. I share this not to garner sympathy, but to impress how important and life changing this program will be for him.
In July of 2023 with the help of Kaedyn's amazing therapist, we came to School of
Rock. Under the guidance of his amazing instructors, Kaedyn flourished in a way I didn't know was possible. He literally came alive before our eyes.
Some of you have had the pleasure of seeing Kaedyn perform. I hope the rest of you will check out the video and see the magic in this kid. Any and all help is so appreciated and I will have eternal gratitude for your support. I know how much this program means to Kaedyn and if you watch him play, you'll see it too. Thank you and I love you all. -Kel
