My name is Michelle Snow, I co-created the uk based news outlet for trans people called What The Trans!?

I am the one on the right in the picture, I am not Dawn Butler (it was the only picture of me I have on my iPad…).

I have been doing the journalism thing for 7 years now but never actually trained. I always learned on the job.

Think it is about time I actually learned with books and teachers and stuff.

So I am hoping to start an NCTJ distance learning course. This is the cheapest way to get fully qualified with a recognised qualification at the end. The NCTJ are THE journalism qualification people.

I want to continue working for the trans community, and honestly, I think I will do a much better job after learning the proper way.

And doing it via distance learning will allow me to do it in bed.

The total cost is roughly £1400, but I am asking for £1500 to cover GoFundMe fees and to grab a couple of extra books.
