DeVone Gainey of Memphis, Tennessee, is the newly crowned 2022 Miss Black Tennessee USA for the Miss Black USA national organization. She’s asking you to join her D.R.E.A.M Team as she prepares to take the stage for the title of Miss Black USA on August 7th, 2022 in Washington, DC.

Although she studied Journalism, her passion has always rested in community relations and teaching the youth through education and sports. She says, “ I feel we can truly impact the dreams and visions of our youth for their future success, whether it be personal development, spiritual growth, or career aspirations. Transformation can happen through bridging together physical fitness and education in a way that uplifts the progressiveness of our communities.”
Upon graduation, she relocated to Memphis, TN, to begin her non-profit career with City Year, Americorps in South Memphis, North Memphis, and surrounding neighborhoods. With the City of Memphis executive branch, DeVone currently serves as a Youth Specialist at The Memphis Office of Youth Services. A Sports and Fitness coach with the Memphis Grizzlies Basketball foundation and an Instructional Curriculum Coach with Generation Teach.
The competition for the national title, Miss Black USA 2022, will air live on Fox Soul August 7th,2022. Supporting DeVone's journey to nationals helps to bring together the supreme vision. All donations for DeVone's support to win the national title will go towards flight travel and food accommodations, wardrobe attire for all performances, including formal gown and shoes, makeup, photoshoot fees and National package expenses.
Let's do this together! She is asking for a minimum of $50.00 per donation. However, with all grace, no donation amount is too big or too small to champion her success for the national title; Miss Black USA.
