Support Love For A Child Foster Care Kids Camp

May is Foster Care Awareness month. To end this month, Nate and I have a really fun opportunity for our friends and family to help support the foster care community! Nate and I have decided to volunteer with Love for a Child and we need your support to help make it happen!

Love for a Child is a Faith Focused 501c3 non-profit serving children of foster care, severely traumatized by various forms of abuse, abandonment, and neglect. With nearly 15,000 foster kids in Michigan, they search for the most statistically overlooked children, likely to never be adopted based on profiling, to provide opportunity and an experience that would change their hearts forever. With offices in Oxford, Zeeland, Frankenmuth, and Traverse City, they serve children across the State of Michigan. The team currently consists of over 300+ Trauma Trained & Informed volunteers who compassionately dedicate and commit to be there for each child within the program. The camp experience is a one-week opportunity for kids of foster care to be treated like royalty, simply be kids, and create moments that become a lifetime of memories. Our goal is to raise enough money as a team for the 40 children in foster care to attend 100% free of any cost.

In order for Nate and I to attend camp, we need to raise $500 each ($250 for volunteer food/housing for the week, $250 for a kiddo in foster care to attend free for the week). The catch is we only have 3 weeks to raise our $1000! Normally we would pull from savings to make this happen but unfortunately, Nate has been off work (unpaid) due to an injury so we’re going to trust God with this one!

We’re so passionate about this cause and we’re confident we have friends and family that want to support these kids too. Please consider donating to help send us and two kiddos to camp this year!
