Send Nathan Sobko to Bethel School

Hi! My name is Nancy, and I’m raising funds for Nathan Sobko to attend Bethel School in Redding, California for the 2023-2024 school year.
I have known Nathan since his mom and I became friends over 20 years ago, and he is 26 years old now. He spent most of his childhood on the small island of Gabriola, BC, Canada, moved off for several years, and then moved back there about 2 years ago.
Let me tell you a bit more about him, and why I feel it is important to support him in his goal to attend school.
• Nathan was raised by a single mom without siblings or a father present. Although things were difficult at times, Nathan rose above them to become an amazing young man of character, integrity and faith. He is a follower of Jesus and loves people. He is kind, intelligent, creative, compassionate, and always willing to help others.
• Nathan is mostly a self-taught musician who has been playing guitar and singing on worship teams in his community and also various venues, many of these in a volunteer capacity. He has written over 100 songs and is working on recording some of them. His passions are playing and writing music, and helping people.
• Recently, he volunteered to help with a vacation bible school and decided to write all the songs needed for the children to sing. He didn't have to do that, but he wanted to. That's the kind of person he is, going above and beyond what he is asked, and giving wholly of himself and his talents.
• Not long ago, God put it on his heart to go to Bethel School to get trained up for ministry work. He is ready to go anywhere that God calls him to go but first, he needs this training to develop his leadership skills, and learn how to help the lost and hurting people God puts in his path. Most importantly, though, he wants to be obedient to what he feels God is calling him to do.
Time is short and Nathan needs these funds as soon as possible. They cover room and board and school fees for one school year (he is unable to work during that time). He would like to go for the full three-year program, but at this point, he needs funding for the first year.
I believe if you are willing to contribute whatever amount you can give, it will make a difference. Every bit helps and your money will be a "seed" in the "soil" of Nathan's life that will grow and produce much! You will be a part of helping Nathan touch the lives of many people when he goes into mission work both during and after completing his schooling. There will be a ripple effect that will spread out and benefit not only Nathan but many others as well.
Thank you so much for considering helping Nathan, and feel free to pass this on to others who may be interested in joining to help him!
with gratitude,
Nancy
