Send NT Christian Schools Team to H2GP World Final

In a world and Northern Territory (NT) first, 5 high school students from NT Christian Schools are in line to represent Australia in the World Final of the STEAM education Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP) 2024 World Final in California.
The competition inspires young STEAM students to design, engineer, build and race their own hydrogen-powered cars – a real-world opportunity to road test an energy of the future.
The NT team took a podium position at the national H2GP competition held at the Gold Coast in June 2024, coming a close second place in their first race experience.
This involved teams from across Australia meeting for a 4-hour endurance race testing their cars design, efficiency and battery power, with the winner getting automatic qualification to the H2GP World Finals.
The NT Christian Schools team are now fortunate to proceed to the H2GP World Finals as the Australian representative team due to the winners having to pull out. This places extra pressure on the students and school community, who are now on a fundraising mission at short notice to be able to compete in September in Anaheim, California.
This presents a once in a lifetime opportunity for the students. Only 1 of the 5 have a passport or have been overseas. Kayden Bourchier, who is the team mechanic, had never been on a plane before the opportunity to compete in the H2GP final in Queensland.
Please get behind the students to help them reach their goal.
