Send Ramin to the Powerchair Hockey World Cup!

My name is Ramin Raunak and I have CP (Cerebral Palsy), a disability I have had since birth.

As some of you may know, I have played powerhockey for over 15 years. I have had the opportunity to learn from many amazing coaches and players who have helped me become the player I am today. Throughout my powerhockey career, I have been lucky enough to be selected to represent Toronto at several Canadian and North American Championships. As two-time Canadian Champions, our trophy is proudly displayed in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Since 2018, I have had the opportunity to live out a dream, to represent Canada and play in the 2018 Powerchair Hockey World Cup in Italy and the 2019 Australian National Club Team Championships in Australia, where my team placed third. These have been amazing experiences, and I have gotten to play against and learn from some of the best powerhockey para-athletes in the world!

Building on this experience, I have been asked to proudly wear the Canadian Maple Leaf again this summer and represent Canada at the Powerchair Hockey World Cup 2022 in Switzerland. Given the substantial costs to attend this tournament all the way in Switzerland, I am looking for any possible sponsors or donations to help me fund this next step in my powerhockey career. This tournament is a life-changing experience where I get to meet many amazing new friends from around the world and play the sport I love. It is also a pivotal step to work towards seeing our sport included in future Paralympic games. All funding will go directly towards this tournament, including accommodation, transportation, and registration. Any and all help is appreciated and will go a long way in helping me achieve my dream of competing in this tournament and maybe one day in the Paralympic games.
