Send Robotics Students to the World Championships

Meet “Porta-Botz!” middle school robotics team “Maverick” – Azariah and Matthew, and high school team “Big Brained” - Jimmy, Trevor, Aadoryan, and Nathan. Both qualified for the VEX World Championships in Dallas, TX, on April 24 through 29. Now, they need your assistance for the opportunity to represent the Portage and Norwest Indiana Community on the World stage!
Since the Fall, these hardworking kids have put in long hours after school and taken red-eye bus rides to weekend tournaments with dreams of making it big! The program did an amazing job of fund-raising, generating the finances to pay for 7 robotic teams, registration fees, numerous tournament entry fees, expensive equipment, team apparel, travel accommodations, and meals.
Their efforts produced 7 tournament trophies, 6 state berths, 2 National invitations, and now 2 Worlds qualifications. With all the success the program has enjoyed, funds are now exhausted.
VEX Worlds is the largest Robotics event in the World featuring thousands of robotic teams from numerous countries. The multicultural event has a hefty price tag of $6,500 (Flights, Hotels, Ground Transportation, Shipping Robots, Registration Fees, and Food). With your help, their dreams will come true!
Your donation is an investment in kids. Be assured, 100% of the funds generated here go directly to the students.
Robotics is more than building and competing. Robotics develops skills students can use for life like; collaboration, communication, time management, planning, organization, creativity, problem-solving, persistence, and resiliency. That is why the program’s mission statement is “Changing Lives, One Robot at a Time!” Help change the lives of teams Big-Brained and Maverick.
This fundraiser is hosted by the Robotics Boosters Club, Inc., a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) committed to promoting robotics and STEM education and financially supporting The Porta-Botz!
A large banner is being made to recognize all Worlds donors. Consider giving at your level of comfort. And, please “share” our campaign to help spread the word.
Thanks for your generous support! The Porta-Botz! hope to make you proud!
