Hi, My Name is Kevin McIntosh, and I'm the cycling Coach of Steve Kemp.
Steve is a talented cyclist who has realistic goals of being selected to the 2022 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Steven was born with a significant vision impairment is a tandem cyclist aiming to achieve National and International success.
Steven started cycling as young as the age of 12.
His earlier competitions saw him racing on both track and road moving from individual and single bikes to tandem as his vision became more impaired.
Despite his challenges, his determination, dedication, and passion have helped him achieve many successes, including State Road Time Trial Champion and State Track Pursuit Champion in 2021.
Steven is married with two young daughters, runs his own business as a massage therapist, and recently studied Personal Training.
His training efforts to date and a specific diet have seen Steven lose 40kgs.
Steven is now in training to qualify for the Glasgow Commonwealth games being held in August of 2022 and towards the Paris Paralympic Games in 2024.
Being vision impaired impacts Steve's ability to earn an income.
We are hopeful that we can get Steve to the Auscycle National Track Champioships being Conducted in Brisbane from the 28th to the 30th of March, 2022.
Yes.. it will cost him $10,000...!
