Send Stuyvesant Robotics Teams to World Champs
Donation protected
We are Stuyvesant High School’s award-winning robotics teams under FIRST, a multi-national, non-profit organization aimed at instilling an interest in science and technology in today’s youth. We hope to educate and inspire people in our community, both young and old, about the wonders of science and technology. In addition to building multiple industrial-grade robots every year, we host and take part in numerous community outreach initiatives year-round, reaching thousands of people of all economic and social background around New York City, the United States, and the world.
This year, FRC Team 694 competed at the Tech Valley Regional, where they became Finalists, and FTC Team 310 competed at the FTC NYC Championship, where they won 1st place for the Connect Award and 3rd place for the Inspire Award, qualifying both teams for the FIRST World Championships in Detroit from April 24th to April 27th. As much as we wished attending the competition were as easy as qualifying, another obstacle faces us: the cost. While we attend one of the best schools in the city, more than half our school and team qualifies for free or reduced lunch; it is impossible for many to afford the cost of attending these competitions, especially Champs. We want to ensure that every hard-working, devoted student is able to attend the most important competition of the year, regardless of their financial status.
Every donation, regardless of size, helps cover the cost of a deserving student’s expenses and provides an amazing opportunity that they would otherwise have to miss out on due to factors completely out of their control. Whether you have past connections with the team or simply want to help, please consider helping a dedicated student experience the opportunity of a lifetime. Thank you so much for your consideration.
Thanks
