Send The Children of Lake Atitlan To School in 2025

Greetings from Lake Atitlán, Guatemala!

First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and kindness toward our community projects and children. It is because of your generosity that, in 2024, we were able to cover the tuition fees for 47 children around the lake. Your contributions make all the difference, and on behalf of the children and their mothers, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Over the past seven years, we have consistently reached out to share our mission with you. Each year, your donations help us continue providing these children with opportunities for education and a brighter future. We believe deeply in the power of education, and this year, we have a wonderful milestone to celebrate: three of our girls have graduated from high school! This accomplishment fills us with pride and hope for what lies ahead. Thanks to your support, the seeds we’re planting in these children’s lives are beginning to bloom.

Looking ahead to 2025, we have eight children preparing to enter high school. However, as I’ve mentioned in previous messages, access to education in rural Guatemala remains a significant challenge. High schools here are often private and expensive, which poses an enormous burden on single mothers and low-income families. For those who have visited Guatemala or followed news about education here, you’ll understand how much your support truly means to us. Together, we can continue to bring hope and opportunities to children in our small villages.

Additionally, I want to take a moment to thank those who have donated school supplies for the public schools where I teach English. Your contributions have been invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for the impact they’ve made on the students.

4. Uniforms for 26 children (elementary and high school)
