***Help Send the Three Time Operations Challenge National Champions to Compete in the World Water Skills at IFAT Munich 2024***
Hello,
We are the three-time, and defending, WEFTEC Operations Challenge National Champions, Controlled Chaos from Mount Pleasant Waterworks! We have the opportunity to represent your company, MPW, South Carolina and the USA at a global water quality event: World Water Skills at IFAT Munich 2024. This event is about 10x the size of WEFTEC.
We are reaching out for your help sponsoring this opportunity to (1) support the defending National Champions to compete at a prestigious water quality event, (2) provide a way for the US water sector to have international representation and network internationally with other wastewater sector professionals, and (3) possibly connect with any of your international counterparts.
Why should your company sponsor us? Did we mention that we (Controlled Chaos of little ol’ Mount Pleasant Waterworks) are the three-time and defending National Champions? If you have been to SCEC or WEFTEC then you know that our visibility is high. Your donation will not only help us with our expenses, but it will also get your company’s name and logo on our competition jerseys and sponsorship board for IFAT and WEFTEC 2024. Our fundraising goal is $25,000. Any amount you’re willing to contribute to help us reach this goal is greatly appreciated. IFAT takes place in May, and we will close the fundraiser April 30th, 2024.
Any funds produced by this fundraiser will go directly towards our team’s Operations Challenge related expenses. Every year, we incur more expenses as the events and materials for the events change. Any funds leftover from IFAT World Water Skills Munich 2024 will help us continue to cover future expenses.
Here are a few fun facts about our TEAM:
1. We have won the state title at SCEC seven times.
2. We are one of four other teams to ever win the Operations Challenge national championship three times – and we’re not done yet.
3. At WEFTEC, we are the team that trains brand new teams as well as any international teams in preparation for the big competition.
4. Team members: Coach Troy Newton, Captain Patrick Ross, Tyler Waterhouse, Kevin Ganley, and Rory Byrne.
