Send the Wayland Li Wushu Team Canada to Worlds!
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
Wayland Li Wushu is a Chinese martial arts competition school run by Master Li Wenqi (李文启师傅), a former China wushu champion. Over the last twenty years, Master Li has coached and trained thousands of young wushu athletes in Canada.
Eight young students made the Canadian Wushu Junior Team at the Canadian National Wushu Championship this past August. These athletes are Caleb, Lia, Chris, Allen, Amanda, Sophia, Marcus and Venus.
On December 3-11, 2022, our team will represent Canada and compete at the World Junior Wushu Championship in Tangerang, Indonesia.
The financial cost for families to participate in this competition is extremely high. Each young athlete's family must pay for their airfare, accommodations, food, local transportation, wushu equipment, wushu competition attire and competition fees, totaling thousands of dollars.
Please donate to support Caleb, Chris, Allen, Amanda, Lia, Sophia, Marcus and Venus as they see their years of hard work and training come to fruition as they represent Canada at the World Junior Wushu Championships. For most of them, this will be their first international tournament since the pandemic started. We are so proud of them and hope this fundraiser will help contribute funds to their families that have supported their wushu dreams since day one.
Thank you!
