Send a Ugandan Orphan Back to School, Winter 2025

We're organizing another fundraiser for my friend Paul Makete, a Christian brother who works tirelessly to feed, shelter, and educate 37 Ugandan orphans of various ages. You can read more here about his orphanage, Tributaries of Hope:

The orphanage faces ongoingly heavy costs, and Paul welcomes anyone interested in coming alongside him to provide more regular support. Last year, some of you generously helped us to sponsor the children's education, and we're asking for people's assistance again as we enter a new year. As before, the money will go towards their tuition and other needs like uniforms, books, pens and pencils, school lunches, etc. The current need is around $3,300, so I've chosen a goal of $3,500 to take fees into account.

We're continuing to explore options for forming a non-profit around Paul's work or partnering with a preexisting 501c3 so that folks' donations can be tax-deductible.
