Send Glen to space

Glen Kelland Christensen, 25, died peacefully at home in Costa Mesa.  Near the end, Glen was surrounded by a great many of his good friends who came to celebrate him and say goodbye. The last week of Glen's life was full of music, laughter, fun, love and joy.  Glen's family would like to thank all of his friends who witnessed his final days and finds great comfort in the love brought to Glen's life and ours. Glen aka Glenergy devoted much of his life to music, art, surfing, and deeply personal self-expression. He is the Spaceman of Distractor.  Glen is survived by his mother Kim, father Kelly, sister Camille, grandmother Marla, cousins Rex, Janet, Scott, Bobby, Kari, Kyle, Madi, Cole, Nick, Hannah, Chris and Tom, aunts Pat, Ellen, Kate, Nancy, Melissa and Paula and uncles Dave, Phil and Jim. The family is deeply grateful to his friends Ronnie, Colin and William for their unconditional love and support, especially during the most challenging moments of his life. 

 

Glen was always an astronaut at heart.  He was a man obsessed with the stars and the mysteries that lie beyond them.   To honor his final wish, his family and friends will have his remains launched into orbit on board a NASA rocket.  

 

We are hoping to raise $10,000 for the launch and the trip out to the memorial launch in Florida where Glen's ashes will be attached to a satellite.

 

His mission launch is to commence in January 2016 out of Cape Canaveral.  Among his ashes will be a flight message and name inscription onboard the spacecraft.

 

 Once shot into space his ashes will remain in orbit over earth forever in our hearts and thoughts looking over us from the cosmos.
