Sending Emiko home to Japan after 35 years

Donation protected
Hi my name is nicole and I am Emiko Collett’s daughter . My mom was born in Japan and moved to the states when she was 20 years old. She started working at the Suki Yaki and eventually took over after the previous owner retired. She has dedicated her entire life to her restaurant and to raising my sister and I. She never went out and enjoyed herself with friends or did anything fun! Her only social life was when she was waitressing! The only vacation she went on since moving to the states was when she went back home 35 years ago with my sister and I. I have never in my life met someone who works as hard as her 14 hours a day 7 days a week taking maybe 3-4 days off a YEAR. She is now finally retiring after 50 years of being in the restaurant business and is planning on going back to Japan to be reunited with her family. She is taking all her grandchildren with her. Traveling to Japan is very expensive and I’m trying to raise money to hopefully lift a bit of the financial burden off her shoulders so she can just really enjoy her time with family! Thank you so much to everyone that has supported my mom and the Suki Yaki over the years! She would never have been in business as long as she had been without each and everyone one of you!
