Sending Izzy Over the Rainbow Bridge

Hi friends

Many of you have had the pleasure of meeting and knowing our sweet Izzy (aka Isabel Stevens aka fat fat aka biz biz) over the 12 years we have had her. We adopted Izzy in 2011 with our first and only roommates. Since then, Izzy has been our baby. She’s been through 5 moves, plus one out of state move, multiple family vacation pet sitters, two pregnancies and two babies with us. Izzy even helped induce labor with Addie and they’ve been best friends ever since.

In the last few weeks she’s lost a ton of weight and gone through 2 rounds of antibiotics but seems to be nearing the end. We think she might have a mass in her stomach or possibly even cancer, despite blood tests that say there isn’t anything obviously wrong. I write today to ask for help, for anyone at capacity to give it. We just maxed out our Care Credit to make a last ditch effort to help this baby survive, with a high dose of antibiotics and a steroid, but we aren’t sure she is gonna make it.

We still owe about $275 to the vet, on top of the maxed out Care Credit, plus it will be about $300 to get her euthanized and cremated when the time comes. In total, we are trying to raise $700 to help fund these costs, as we are a single income home/I work 2 jobs and things are still tight. We don’t want her to be in pain anymore, because of how much we love her, and just want to let her go across that rainbow bridge to be with her sister Sable.
