Sending love to Pat Furgurson's family

We're devastated to share that E.B. "Pat" Furgurson, a beloved former Capital Gazette reporter, has died at the age of 70.

If you didn’t know Pat, you likely saw photos of him reporting on the newsroom shooting in 2018. Pat and other Capital reporters used his truck in a parking garage across the street as a makeshift newsroom, reporting on the tragedy as soon as it happened.

Pat was in poor health in the last months of his life. If you can, please join his former colleagues in helping his wife, Becky, and son, Jesse, with medical bills and funeral costs.
