A while ago, I applied to Hackbright Academy, a 12 week boot camp for women to learn a Python based stack (all the stuff that you need to know to be a web developer, for the non-techies out there) and to get employable as a junior web dev. I applied with the help and encouragement of a number of friends, after my life fell apart and I knew I couldn't keep doing what I was doing any more.
Friday, Nov. 21, I was notified I was accepted.
I am in the process of applying for financial aid, since Hackbright is awesome and has both self-administered aid and some full scholarships. Unfortunately, I won't hear if I've gotten aid until after the deadline to reserve my seat.
A few friends have mentioned that people might be willing to help me hold that spot in the class while I wait to hear about financial aid, so I'm putting this page up.
