Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

I am a third year student attending the University of Kentucky, GO WILDCATS! I volunteer at Kentucky Refugee Ministries 12 hours a week. I have held a part time job since I was 16, up until very recently due to my heavy course load along with my volunteer service at KRM. Unfortunately the company needed 15 hrs or I had to be cut from the schedule and due to my only being available 15 hrs, I was cut.
My major is Int'l Studies with a focus in Comparative Politics. Ever since the 6th grade, I have dreamed of participating in service programs abroad. I applied and was accepted in the 8th grade but due to the finances I was unable to complete the trip. :(
My desire to travel abroad and experience a different culture has never subsided.
I, getting ready to close out my final year at UK , was urged by my professors to apply for study abroad with an emphasis on volunteer service. So excited to announce I just received notice I have been accepted to Spanish Lang and Culture in Valparaiso, Chile. YAY!!!! Really pumped... yet again, as anyone who has ever struggled while attending college, I find myself once again looking for ways to help fund this once in a lifetime opportunity.
I will be registered at the Pontificial Catholic University of Valparaiso in Chile taking courses, and volunteering with ISA.
I would be so appreciative of any help you could give. It all adds up, $1, $5, anything.
Open minds, open hearts. <3
