The Ask:
Ordinarily, we wouldn’t be planning a trip to Pennsic at this particular life stage - however, when one wins Crown, these sorts of things become more compelling.

Logistically, to get to Pennsic this year we would need to travel from Melbourne to Washington State (on the west coast of the United States) to deliver the Two Littlest Monkeys into the care of the Benevolent Grandparents before continuing on to Pittsburgh, PA so that we can participate fully in the activities, obligations and festivities that Pennsic offers while the boys spend some very special time with their grandparents.

In order to fund this Very Expensive Trip on Very Short Notice, we are hoping to raise the money through donations as well as offering our services as artisans – with the caveat that work on commissions will likely not commence until 2017.

The initial flights to Seattle will be approximately $4,000, so that is our fundraising goal. Anything in excess of that will be used for additional travel or miscellaneous expenses on the trip, or for reign-related items/activities.

Dark ages garments: tunics, crossover coats, caps, apron dresses, under dresses
Tablet woven trim
Pierce/chasework pendants
Embroidery: seam treatments, applique pieces, etc
(mundanely) crochet blankets, hats, animals

In order to take advantage of the best possible flight pricing, and make the necessary arrangements, we need to raise this money as quickly as possible. We would very much appreciate you sharing our story widely to help us reach our fundraising goal and get to Pennsic War 45.
