Hello, my name is Amy and I am raising money for someone near and dear to my heart. My father, Steven, who has suffered from heart disease for the past 17 years, has also had a pacemaker defibrillator implanted, and he now finds himself in a situation, needs a very high-risk operation called a Ventricular Tachycardia Ablation to regulate the heart rhythm. This procedure is going to reroute the electrical firings in the heart which potentially could be lifesaving.
Steven had traveled to PA to visit his 84-year-old father for his birthday along with celebrating 63 years of his mother and father being together. Steven suffered from a tachycardia storm in front of them and was rushed to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA after receiving 12 shocks from his implanted pacemaker/difribullator. We traveled out to be with him for 4 days total to drive him home safely. Once home, back in New York State, suffered yet another 4 shocks from his device. Steven was then rushed to St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. He spent another 4 days in the hospital to be told we need to travel to Boston, MA to Brigham and Women's Hospital for his procedure.
The ablation was a success which we are more than ecstatic about, seeing how the doctors informed him that if he took any more shocks from his device, Steven wouldn't be here to spread his joy and happiness to his friends, family and loved ones.
We created this fundraiser to help pay for the extensive bills acquired from being on tour from state to state to get well. Please feel free to share this or donate, nothing is expected but all donations are greatly appreciated. We are simply asking for help if you have a huge heart like Steven, to donate or share this story. Any little bit will help this long from over financial battle.
