Senior Mack needs TPLO surgery!
Donation protected
In 2022 Debra was scrolling Facebook and came across posts that were uploaded by his foster families (lots of volunteers brought Mack home). She fell in love with Mack and jumped to meet and eventually adopt Mack a/k/a McEnroe.
Mack became Debra's first dog and boy is he loved (and spoiled).
Mack is a senior and we all know seniors could cost extra money so Debra took our advice and purchased pet insurance to cover any illnesses that may arise. Unfortunately, she never had a conversation with anyone at the shelter about the "suspected cruciate disease" that was notated in his medical records.
In February 2023 as Mack was having a run in the yard he slipped and let out a horrible howl of pain. Mack was limping and didn't want to eat or walk anywhere, he even growled at his new mom because he was hurting so much. Of course that broke Debra's heart!
Turns out Mack needs a pretty expensive surgery on his leg and the "suspected cruciate disease" was an old injury that was never treated. Mack needs TPLO surgery that with the original vet bills and medications will cost Debra over $5,000. Her insurance company has denied paying any of the bills for vet appointments, medication and surgery because of what was noted in his shelter medical notes. (it's a "pre-existing" condition).
Friends of Mack, volunteers that looked after him while he was in the county shelter system and friends of Debra want to help her with the medical bill. No one should have to stress about paying vet bills!
We will be updating our fundraiser with photos, videos and any records/bills we incur. ALL funds will be used for Mack and his surgery. If there are any cash donations we will post those for full transparency.
Won't you help us help Mack and his Mom?
