Senior Thesis film Funding: Mia's Treehouse

Hello, my name is Camila and I'm a Senior at The University of Tampa pursuing a BFA in Film and Media Arts. I'm currently in the process of producing my my final thesis short film and this fundraising is going to help cover production costs like insurance, catering for cast and crew, set design, permits and other budgeted expenses.

Here is a synopsis of the film, titled Mia's Treehouse: 10-year-old Mia finds a new mysterious friend in the treehouse that her dad built for her mother, her friend’s name is Lu, just like her mother’s childhood nickname. They start spending time together at the treehouse, they seem to have known each other their whole lives or from their past lives, they feel like home to each other, they learn how much they have in common but there are days when Mia is anxiously waiting for Lu at the treehouse, but she is not always there. With time, Mia realizes that Lu is her mother when she was her age, and the treehouse is a portal to a magical connection of her mother’s love across time.

This is a very personal and special story to me and any penny is greatly appreciated and will help me bring my vision to life as my last big project as a student, thank you so much!
