Señor Colón's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday June 29th, after a visit to the emergency room for some stomach issues, our Dad (Jaime A. Colón “Papo”) was given the terrible news that he has colon cancer. After many studies, an emergency surgery, and numerous post-op specialist visits, we have learned that Dad’s cancer is Stage IV Metastatic Adenocarcinoma: colon cancer that has metastasized and spread to other organs (in this case, the liver). We are devastated and lost. We have more questions than answers. What we DO know is this: the doctors tell us that our only hope is a very aggressive chemotherapy treatment, which must start as soon as Dad’s colon surgery heals. The costs associated with chemotherapy are extremely high, and definitely more than we can afford. For this reason, we are reaching out to all of you, our family and friends, and asking for your help so that we can give Dad a fighting chance of beating this thing!! No donation is too small, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for anything and everything you can contribute. May God bless you, and may your kindness return to you tenfold!
