Two weeks ago I called an ambulance for my father, something I never thought I would have to do. Over the course of his stay at UNM Hospital he was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and Type 2 Diabetes.
Due to COVID-19 my Dad lost his job and was on the verge of homelessness as a result. My Dad will be out of the hospital within the next 48 hours. He will qualify for disability and will be able to eventually live off of that, but we will have a 1 - 2 month window until his disability is accepted in which my Dad will not have a place to go.
The next month or two are going to be a struggle to build up a new foundation for my father. Stress itself can be detrimental to his new diagnosed health conditions. We want to be able to give him as much comfort as possible and allow him to focus on managing his health, especially now that his health conditions put him at high risk in the midst of this ongoing pandemic.
We would appreciate any financial assistance in this time.

-Hotel rooms or low income housing
-Food
-Clothing
-Medical bills not covered by medicaid
-Toiletry items
-Acquiring lost documentation such as ID card
-Transportation
