Mozzie’s Separation Anxiety Treatment
Spende geschützt
THE STORY:
My name is Lisa and this is my dog, Mozzie. I adopted Mozzie in September 2018, saving him from a kill shelter, where he was admitted as a stray. He was the happiest dog that day. I’ve never seen a dog smile before but he just couldn’t stop smiling.
It was love at first sight. At the shelter he would not leave my side and was super excited to come home with me.
I couldn’t bear the thought of leaving him there and even snuck him into my old apartment for a while. It’s the best decision I have ever made!

He is the most loving, funny, quirky dog I have ever met and he brings joy to everyone around him!
Yet, I can tell he has been through a lot. He is afraid of men rapidly approaching him or sudden movements. Mozzie is doing a lot better and is trying to stay optimistic and welcoming to everyone.
I want to finally give him the home and love he deserves.

WHATS WRONG:
Unfortunately, Mozzie suffers from Severe Separation Anxiety. Separation anxiety is triggered when dogs become upset because of separation from their guardians, the people they’re attached to. To many people separation anxiety might not seem like a big deal, but rather an inconvenience. However, it’s a disease. Mozzie is so stressed out, that he starts trying to escape and usually hurts himself.
It stresses him out so much that when I do come home he falls asleep instantly and sleeps for hours.
It is a horrible thing to see your dog cry and hurt themselves when you are not there. It truly breaks my heart.

I am a student at college so my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m never gone for more than a few hours a day. However, if I even leave for a few minutes, he starts screaming his lungs out.
I’ve tried everything. From calming pills to weighted vests. Nothing seems to work. I just moved into a new apartment and I am at a risk of getting kicked out because of the noise complaints.
COSTS:
So I found a dog training camp for separation anxiety that guarantees results. It’s called Kruger Canine(https://www.kruegercanine.com)
It’s a 3 week boarding camp that includes all training equipment we will ever need, as well as 5 hours of owner training.
Why board and train?
"Boarding and training is by far the most effective, and sometimes the only way to truly train your dog. Imagine if your dog could live with a professional dog trainer for several weeks. In this time, the trainer builds a relationship with your dog, and teaches them new behaviors and how to use them. A master trainer can achieve exceptional results in a very short period of time." - Kruger Canine training.
The camp costs $3000 plus any of at home follow ups that are needed.
The camp is amazing! It has many other activities for dogs to enjoy as well:
-Swimming
-Group playtime
-Outdoor time
-Obedience training
There are also follow up appointments($75/appointment) that I think he can benefit from to make sure his separation anxiety is gone once and for all!
This is the only option I have left. I really don’t want to give him up, because I know that is going to tear his heart apart. I want to provide the best home for him and make him forget all the terrible things he has been through.
Please help me help him! Any donations are very appreciated and helpful.
Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Mozzie and Lisa
