Sequoiya Lamar

This post is on the behalf of my sister Shemeika King for her daughter Sequoiya Lamar.

We come to you with heavy hearts to share a devastating tragedy that has befallen our family. My beloved daughter Sequoiya Lamar, along with her roommate were taken from us far too soon in a senseless act of violence. As we try to cope with this unimaginable loss, we also bear the burden of financial expenses for her funeral. We're reaching out to you today, humbly asking for your support through the creation of this GoFundMe campaign.

The loss of my daughter has left a deep void in our lives. She was not only a vibrant, caring young woman but also a source of joy and inspiration for those around her. Her sudden departure has shocked us and left us grappling with grief that is beyond comprehension. We are also grieving the loss of her roommate—an innocent soul who shared the same tragic fate.

Unfortunately, my daughter did not have life insurance, which has left us facing significant financial hurdles to organize a proper farewell. Our family believes in honoring lives with dignity and respect, and it is our heartfelt desire to provide her with a final farewell that reflects the love and bond that she shared with all of us.

We understand that times are challenging for everyone, but we sincerely request your assistance in helping us meet the expenses required for Sequoiya's funeral. We estimate that we will need approximately $8000 for the burial services, cemetery plot, arrangements, and memorial costs.
