At just 47 years old Serjik Apelian was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. Colorectal Cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the U.S. and it is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S.
Serjik Apelian is an AMAZING husband, a PHEONOMINAL father, a son of GOD and a friend to so many. Doctors performed surgery on January 16, 2015 and removed 2 big orange sized tumors and 12 Lymph Nodes out of 23 that were positive and has an Ileostomy Bag. Serjik's illness is extreamly aggresive and in less than 2 months was spread to the pelvic bone and spine. He started the very first and aggresive chemo on March 27, 2015 and since then he has been very weak. According to the Oncologist, he needs aggresive chemo for the rest of his life. It is not a curable disease and we dont even know if he can tolerate chemotherapy. We need to look for other options/treatments which are very costly in order to have some quality of life.
Our mission is to give financial, emotional and spiritual support to Serjik and his family during this difficult time.
