Serra Saurman Burchfield - Memorial Fund

I’m Brandon’s Mom, Dawn.

I have started this Go-fund-me to help with the funeral cost for my Daughter-in-Law, Serra, as well as future financial aid, for my Son, Brandon and Grandson, Christian, as they mourn her loss.

Serra’s income paid for their mortgage and food each month. We are hoping to give them a little breathing room as these bills, along with the funeral expenses, don’t suddenly stop when tragedy strikes.

Early Saturday morning, on January 6th, Brandon saw his wife’s location had suddenly stopped on the interstate on her way home on the app the family uses. After calling with no answer, he drove to the location showing on the phone, only to find EMS already on the scene. Serra was involved in a terrible car accident and tragically did not survive.

Serra was an amazing woman. Always the life of the party. Always smiling. She was a mother, a wife and a superb bowler! She had a passion for bowling and bowled several times a week with her team (the BWA).

Her favorite place in the world was Amish Country in Ohio.

Serra worked at a local collision center and at the Vestavia Country club, where she enjoyed serving and helping everyone she came in contact with. Her co-workers will miss her greatly.

Nothing compared to the love she had for her sons, Stephen and Christian (who is 14 years old), her husband of 9 years, Brandon, and their 7 dogs and two cats. They feel so lost without her.
