Autism Service Dog for Luke and Austin

Full Service Canine Krystina and Brian Cohen are the loving parents of 7 and 4 year old boys, Austin and Lucas. The boys both have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Lucas also suffers from uncontrolled seizure activity. They both have mitochondrial and methylation disfunction, as well as gastrointestinal issues and repetitive self stimming behavior. Lucas is non-verbal and requires 24 hour a day care and attention. Krystina and Brian have done and continue to do everything they can for their children. They attend countless doctor appointments, take numerous medications and supplements, are on strict diets for allergies, and get ABA therapy in their home daily. Lucas also attends a special needs school, while Austin attend public school in a special needs setting. While they have both made significant progress, there is still a long way to go in determining how to better their quality of life. The family has recently been approved for service dogs, which is such a blessing. The dog will be trained for Autism and seizure response, which will give their parents the peace of mind to allow them to become more independent as they grow. While these highly trained dogs can help their lives significantly, the cost is extraordinary due to the time and effort it takes to train. This family has already paid out a small fortune on medical care due to lack of insurance coverage on many of the important procedures, medications, foods, and supplements they need to thrive.
