Service Dog for Madison Turner

I was a cross-country runner when I was 11 years old.
Then one day I was suddenly too weak to walk. In an instant, my life went from daily work-outs to managing pain and seizures. Everything I had worked toward in the past disappeared, and my life became a fight for survival.
Four years after my symptoms started, I was finally diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (P.O.T.S.) which is a heart condition that affects my entire autonomic nervous system. In addition, I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Narcolepsy, Asthma, IBS, and non-epileptic psychogenic seizures.
I am now 20, and I am trying to adjust this a new way of life and move forward.
I started going to college at UAB, but my seizures have gotten worse. Often, I don’t even realize I am about to pass out before it is too late. I am always afraid of being alone in public or by myself and passing out.
I need a Service Dog trained for Seizure detection who can alert me to my seizures and stay with me until help arrives or I recover. He also needs to help me with walking when I am weak and bracing for me to get up and down.
With a Service Dog, I would never be alone again, and I could always get to a safe place before a seizure hit. Just the thought of this possibility gives me so much hope for my future.
Please donate to help me get the dog that I need.
All donations are 100% tax deductible.
