Service Dog for the Beebe boys

My name is Jennifer Beebe and our family is raising funds for a service dog. Our sons, Caleb (age 15) and Isaac (age 9), were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is a progressive degenerative muscle disorder. In the past year, Caleb has progressed to the point of not being able to walk anymore. Every day, the boys are getting weaker and are needing more and more help. To increase their independence, we have decided to get a service dog that will help with many everyday tasks. Our service dog will be able to pick items up off the floor when needed, open doors (including the refrigerator), alert to get help, and retrieve or carry items. We have partnered with a wonderful service dog organization called Loyal Companions. We have already been matched with and met a Bernedoodle named Brody! He is perfect for our family and everyone was in love immediately. Brody is already 9 months old and is doing well in his training. We can't wait to bring him home!
