A Judge in Federal court has denied the defendants motion to dismiss!!!
We’ve had a significant development in our quest to “Bring Grace Home!” The Judge has denied the defendants motion to dismiss. This is a crucial victory and a clear indication that the court recognizes the legitimacy of our claims. This is a big step forward in our efforts to bring Grace home and establish a precedent that temporary custody of service puppies in training - means temporary! You must return the puppy to the organization that owns the puppy.
We are working closely with our attorney to review all our options. We can't share specific details, however, we acknowledge that the remainder of this litigation process will be financially challenging. The trial will be in VA, the non profit is located in TX, there may be a bond required, and let's face it, attorney fees aren't cheap. We're asking for your continued support, both in donations and by spreading the word to help us reach a broader audience. This case will set a precedent for Service Dog providers that utilize puppy raisers, and trainers that are not located at the facility/home of the non profit.
If everyone who sees this post could donate just $5, it would make a significant difference in our ability to serve our community of Veterans, Active Duty and First Responders.
Thank you for standing with us and supporting this important cause. www.kindredcain9.org
