Service Trip to The Ayi-Owen School in Ghana

Hi,

I am raising money to travel with the St. Johnsbury Academy to the Ayi-Owen International School in Techiman, Ghana in February 2024. The Ayi-Owen School was started in 1997 and has since grown from 4 students to over 500 and has achieved #1 status out of 230 schools on the national exam. While visiting this school I will be volunteering my time to tutor students, instruct students on using their newly acquired broadband for educational purposes, and teaching classes in a specialized area of interest, music.

Funds raised for this trip will go toward:

Educational donations for the school of learning materials

Books for a local library

Airfare

Lodging (21 days)

Transportation within Ghana

Yellow fever vaccinations

Malaria medication

Travel Visa

I cannot express how excited and grateful I am to be able to be offered this opportunity, especially living in a rural area. Any donations are so super appreciated.
