Getting Nathen a service dog

Nathen is 6 years old and was diagnosed with autism not too long ago. One of Nathens biggest struggles is communicating making it very hard to make any friends. Nathen is a beautiful soul whos curiosity can sometimes get the best of him making it very hard for him to stay still, Nathen has the tendency of wandering off and even running away from Mommy and Daddy when out in the streets. Living in NYC makes this extremely dangerous. And not being able to express himself and tell us what it is that is grabbing his attention can become very frustrating to him causing terrible meltdowns. As parents our biggest fear is one day losing our boy even if it's just for a minute. This is why we have decided to get Nathen a service dog, not just to keep him safe but also to be his companion and friend. Unfortunately my husband and I don't have the funds to get it for him on our own. I recently made the decision of quitting my job to be a full time caretaker for Nathen. Due to his late diagnosis early intervention wasn't introduced causing the severity of his autism to be greater. My husband is working extreme hours trying his best to do this for our son, but we know that with your help we'll get to our goal that much quicker.  Nathen has a heart of gold and will make anyone fall in love with him. We ask that you please help us in getting him this service dog which we know will be of great benefit to him. Any little bit helps and will be gratefully appreciated.
