Service Dog for KB!

Hi everyone!
I have a sweet,kind, and silly 8 year old daughter that has gone through a very long couple of years of medical problems as we were searching for an answer for her daily pain. Just last month we received our answer in the form of a diagnosis of a genetic disease called Elhers-Danlos Syndrome or EDS. EDS is a connective tissue disorder that affects virtually every system in your body. Some of the most common symptoms that we have seen it manifest so far is; chronic and debilitating pain, joints that are over flexible and dislocate from something as simple as walking up stairs, chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal pain and problems, vision loss, weakened immune system, very low body weight and inability to build muscle, degenerating bone loss in her spine, and more. As I was researching everything needed to manage this condition, my friend informed me of the oppertunity to have a specially trained service dog that could help KB in a very positive way!
So, we have just been accepted into the Noelle's Dogs Four Hope Program out of Colarado as we begin the fundraising needed to provide this highly trained animal for her.
Her Service Dog will be trained to provide stability and support when walking so there is less pressure on joints, retrieve dropped items, alert an adult when KB is in pain, has dislocated a joint or has fallen, brace when walking up and down stairs, accompany her at school, be an integral part of her ongoing physical therapy, respond to fear/anxiety at all dr appts, blood draws, and medical procedures, sleep next to her and alert me if anything happens in the middle of the night, and most of all- be her ultimate companion to love a support her through the hard times. We see this as a BIG positive addition to managing her health and she couldn't be more excited!!
Goal 1: ACHIEVED We need to raise $1,000 so that a specific puppy can be chosen for KB and the training can begin!!!
Goal 2: ACHIEVED Raising funds to travel to Las Vegas this July to train with Mickey (service dog) for a week!
Can you please help us reach this goal by sharing with friends, families or businesses?
Goal 3: Raising funds to pay the remainder of the training fees as Mickey is trained over the next 12 months
*Any extra funds raised will go directly to KB's medical fund for all of her ongoing medical bills and treatment
