Service Dog Training

My name is Rachel, I am 26 yrs old. I have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos Sundrome (EDS) which causes severe pain in all of my joints as well as causing my joints to dislocate. Due to this I have back issues and hip issues which make bending over and getting around difficult for me. I also have Neurocardiogenic Syncope (NCS). NCS is a vasovagal response that causes heart arrythmia and a drop in BP. That coupled with a problem where blood pools in my legs and feet, leave my brain lacking for oxygen and causes me to faint.
Fainting puts me at a very high risk of concussions and brain damage. Fainting can be fatal! There is no real cure for NCS but I am doing my best to manage it.
I have been donated a dog to train for service work. We found each other at BFF pet rescue in Fontana. When I got her I intended to only be training her for medical response work. But shortly after getting her she was alerting to my syncopal episodes. Syncope Alert and Medical Response Dogs require much more than the usual training.
I had found a wonderful trainer here in California who has helped us tremendously. Courtney from Coast K9. She has brought me and Sally so far already in our training to be a service dog team. But service dog training will still cost me thousands more dollars.
While Sally is already great at syncope alert, she still needs to learn medical response, mobility assistance and improve herself for public access.
Sally-Mine and I have already bonded and she is always by my side! It would mean the world to me if anyone could help. I am ready to live a life without fear of fainting or concussions. And to know I am safe when I do. And she can help me live that life.
I have created an Instagram for her, and you can follow her as she helps me live a more independently:
