Memorial Services for Joe Clemens Jr.
Donation protected
Joe Clemens very suddenly passed away on July 6th, 2019.
He was an amazing son, brother, father, uncle, and friend to anyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Joe has not had an easy life. He got into a horrific car accident 27 years ago. He was in a drug induced coma for 3 months after the accident, and it took years for him to “recover” after the fact. He had to learn how to talk, walk... Basically how to LIVE again after his accident. He never went back to his old self after that, but that’s ok, because he was his NEW self and he was alive and living life the best way he knew how.
His mother, Evelyn Clemens, was his savior through this all. She took Joe in and has lived with him ever since. Helping to take care of him for the last 27 years.
Through all of his hard times, he managed to stay the most positive, loving, caring person one could know. He was always helping anyone out that he could. Always there for anyone who needed him, and doing random acts of kindness for people around his neighborhood. He did this up until the day he died.
He was living with his mother, his brother Chris, and his niece and nephew CJ and Danielle at the time of his death. They all helped take care of each other. Although his mom had taken in Joe after the accident to care for him, she had got dementia in the last year or so, and so they formed a household to help take care of each other.
With Evelyn’s dementia, Joe almost swapped roles and helped take care of his mother in the last few years. Actually, the day of Joes death, he was the one who made sure his mom took her morning and afternoon pills that she needed. Even on his last day of life, he was there for her helping her out.
Unfortunately through so many health issues and accidents later, there is not much money to scrap together for services. Again, this was a very unexpected death, and no one planned for this.
This go fund me is in hopes of money to help with Joes services, and anything left we have to scrape together, will be put towards making sure his mother, Evelyn, is taken care of. He was the one to stay at home to be with her at all times, so now we have to find a new way to make sure she is being taken care of, which is no cheap expense.
Any money would be greatly appreciated to ease the burden of all of this. We, Joes family, appreciate everything. Thank you so much <3
And if you have no money to donate, try to do an act of kindness for a stranger today, for Joe, as he did this every day he could. And we need more heroes in this world like Joe.
