On the evening of June 20, 2019, Sesinna Kahsay, an adorable 8-year-old girl, was struck by a car while walking in her new neighborhood. She and her family had just moved to this neighborhood 4 days before this tragic accident. She was crossing a street at a crosswalk with 2 of her siblings when a car ran the stop sign. Witnesses say she flew at least 20-30 feet in the air. The Sheriff's officer on the scene said it was "one of the worst videos [he] has ever seen. " The driver of the car did not stop to render help. After being apprehended by police, the driver admitted that her license was suspended.
After help arrived Sesinna was life-flighted to the hospital. Unfortunately, her injuries were too great and she passed away the following evening.
Sesinna was just recently promoted to Third Grade and was excited for the new school year. She loved to read bible stories and ride bikes and play with her brothers and sisters.
This precious angel leaves behind her mother and father ( a pastor) and 10 siblings. She had 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
The money raised will all go to the Kahsay family to pay for the funeral and other related expenses.
